Week 23 and counting....

Today I was 23 weeks and 4 days pregnant. It's crazy to me to think that I am over halfway there, this baby is reaching 8 inches long and should weigh about 1 pound right. I am constantly reminded of the miracle of conceiving a child. I feel so blessed to be on this journey. There isn't much going on that hasn't been talked about before. Still dealing with having hard time breathing and hips hurt.


Stretch marks - in random places, not on the belly (yet?) though.
Feeling Heavy - some days baby boy feels so heavy, when I roll over in bed or try to get up.


Baby boy still flips and wiggles all the time, it seems to be more and more on a schedule though than it was before which is awesome. I'm thinking of keeping a little note of what time of the day I'm feeling his move to try to figure out if he has a sleep pattern just yet.


Your daddy has been really wonderful about giving massages and rubs when things start to get sore. I don't know what I'm going to do without him around.


Also, I have a feeling my belly button is going to pop out here in the next month or so, it's getting pretty shallow... and I thought I had a deep belly button!

22 weeks along!

I am now 22 weeks pregnant and getting huge. I feel moody and emotional but pretty good overall.


How big is baby: Baby's now the size of a papaya.


Sleep: Good. But having some crazy dreams…but overall resting well!


Symptoms: Having leg cramps in the morning and sometimes I get cramps in the sides of my belly. I also having hard time breathing, feel weak and really tired if I push myself to do too much and hips hurt.


Food Craving: Oh just everything!


Food Aversions: Not really anything particular.


Morning Sickness: Nope!


Movement: Yes…more and more. He's moving a lot! I feel his moving every day now.


I must say I am so excited for all of the changes to come. Granted, I'm also scared out of my mind, but most days it's a good anticipatory fear/excitement and not a debilitating. 


Honestly, I really enjoy being pregnant. And more than anything! I love feeling our little man kick around in there. I never thought I'd be the kind of person that sings and talks to their belly, and yet, here I am singing and babbling away on a daily basis but only when I'm alone of course! ;) 


I know I have 4 months to go, but I'm already feeling like I can't wait to meet our kid!

10 Things I love about being Pregnant.

I love being pregnant! There. I said it.;)

Suddenly feel like jotting down all the good things of being preggie.

1. Baby kicking inside my tummy (a most wonderful sensation!)

2. Ultrasound scans ( watching my baby grow month by month. I love this little person growing inside of me. I  can't wait to meet him.)

3. Great excuse to get Hubby to do things for me (Sayang, give me a massage, please?)

4. The way my husband gets me anything I want, whenever I want it.

5. I have an excuse for being tired, and lazy sometimes!

6. I can justify eating all the time, or not eating anything!

7. I love coming up with lists of names.

8. I love the new name I will be called "Mommy"

9. I love this challenge I've been given to raise my very own child that was created from the love of me and my husband.

10. Knowing you’re never alone. Maybe it’s just because this is my first pregnancy, but I’m in awe over the wiggling and kicking I can feel. It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling knowing that, wherever I am, I have someone with me all the time.

So you see, while pregnancy is tough, it is also a sweet and memorable journey especially for first time new mom's to be like me!

Pink Baby or Blue Baby?

I was 19 weeks and 1 days pregnant, and I'm excited to be reaching the half-way point.


I'm feeling well now! Even though in the middle of the night I often get attacked by asthma.

Today I have BIG news to share with you! I had my 19 weeks ultrasound. The ultrasound went wonderfully! The doctor said everything looked good and I already know the gender of my baby!! I'm so very happy!

Yes, it's a Blue Baby!

Baby boy seems to be doing well. I am continuing to feel his move around from time to time, but it's still very faint and inconsistent. 


Dear Baby,


It's been another week and you are wiggling around more than ever.


When I tell your dad that I can feel you moving he look so excited and put his hand to my belly to try to feel you, but so far you're too little to him to be able to detect. But it's ok, one day your dad also will feel those movement.

Week 17 of my pregnancy!

Today I was 17 weeks and 4 days pregnant and I'm doing not so well because I had a little fever and severe coughing.


I have consulted with doctor 4days ago. The doctor told me when our body heat, a baby in the womb are also feeling the heat more than we feel. Imagine you are swimming in a pool of hot water. I'm very worried and I didn't want anything bad happened to you. Oh, poor my little baby. I'm so sorry because I didn't take care of myself well while you were in my womb. 

That's our baby! It is now the size of a sweet potato.

The baby is about the size of a sweet potato this week! One more week until we get to see our little sweet potato on the ultrasound. Hopefully, we will be able to see if its a boy or girl.


Dear Baby,


This week your skeleton is starting to harden from cartilage to bone and your also finally putting on some body fat!


You also are able to suck, swallow and blink.


I wonder if you are comfortable and happy. I wonder if you even know what comfortable and happy are. I wonder if you even think. I wonder if you are strong to grow in my womb. I hope so on all.

My 16 weeks pregnancy!

Today I was 16 weeks and 1 day pregnant.


Things are starting to feel better this week. My energy level has gotten a little more normal. The nausea is almost completely gone. Oh and most importantly, I’ve started feeling the baby! I often feel when I lay face downward.It’s so weird, just this little fluttering, tickle, muscle spasm sensation  You couldn't feel it if you put your hand on my stomach, but I can feel it inside of me. Kinda fun to be able to share this with the baby before anyone else. Hehe. Sorry sayang ;)

Yesterday I had my 16 weeks ultrasound but still not finding out the gender of the baby. The doctor said maybe another week I could know the gender of my baby. Oh, I can't wait to know the gender! A lot of people ask me if I have a feeling one way or the other if it’s going to be a boy or a girl. And I honestly don’t have the slightest clue!  It’s funny because even though I have no clue, other people have strong feelings on which we are having. I really wish that we would find out at the next ultrasound.

Dear Baby.

You're now about the size of an avocado.

You’re finally big enough that I can feel you squirming  in there. It sort of tickles but I can see how it can get annoying fast, especially as you grow and gain strength! I think your daddy may be a little jealous because he didn't feel you're squirming like i felt! ;)

Your taste buds are also starting to develop. This means you can enjoy the meals that I eat with me now! This also means that someday you can decide that you don’t like certain kinds of food.

25 weeks to go!

Today I am 15 weeks...

Another week has gone by again? Really?


I had a moment the other day. Just a random blip as I caught myself casually resting my hand on my belly. I saw a flash of a newborn baby in front of my eyes, cooing and kicking, and I was kissing its belly. And suddenly this little human growing inside of me seemed so intensely real. Up until a few days ago, this pregnancy had seemed so far away- like it was happening to a clone. Me but somehow not me. It was like I was watching it from the outside. And I have to admit, this feeling of detachment felt strange and lonely. 


But in an instant, we connected, this baby and I. No longer a vague sense of life, but a son or daughter. My little superhero or my bity ballerina. A baby and I cannot wait to hold and meet. This unexpected connection hit me like a ton of bricks. I smiled and laughed and jiggled my ever-growing belly as if it were an introductory handshake.


"Hello, baby! Nice to meet you!" ;)


I am 99.9% convinced that I am carrying a girl and I could be 99.9% wrong about that. But whatever this baby is, it is already ridiculously loved and eagerly awaited. 


As you can tell, I am really looking pregnant these days. I'm generally feeling pretty good, although there are still times when I'm sleepy in the afternoon especially after lunch and dinner.


Dear Baby,

You're now about the size of an apple!

This week you’ve started to breathe. Well kind of. You obviously aren’t breathing air yet, but you are moving amniotic fluid in and out of your lungs as if you were breathing. Your body is covered is a fine hair they call Lanugo. It looks a little weird, but they say it all falls out after you are born anyway.


And you’re growing. It’s definitely noticeable now! It’s weird to look down and only see my belly.
